SMS Consent Process
Tampa Bay Sliding Doors uses verbal consent for transactional, service-related text messages. This page documents the exact process our staff follows.
When Consent Is Requested
A staff member may offer SMS updates when a customer calls or speaks directly with Tampa Bay Sliding Doors to request, schedule, or manage a service appointment. Providing a phone number alone does not constitute consent. We do not use the website service-request form or text-to-join keywords as SMS opt-in methods.
Exact Verbal Consent Script
“Would you like to receive recurring service-related text messages from Tampa Bay Sliding Doors at the mobile number you provided? Messages may include service-request confirmations, appointment reminders, technician arrival updates, estimate and invoice notifications, job status updates, and customer-care follow-ups. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing or receiving service. Our Privacy Policy is at tampabayslidingdoors.com/privacy and our Terms are at tampabayslidingdoors.com/terms. Do you agree to receive these messages?”
How the Response Is Handled
If the customer clearly says yes, the staff member records the mobile number, date and time, staff member, verbal opt-in method, and affirmative response in the customer’s service record. Messages are sent only after that record is saved.
If the customer says no, is uncertain, or does not answer, the customer is treated as opted out. The service request continues without SMS, and staff uses another customer-approved contact method.
Confirmation, Help & Opt-Out
After consent is recorded, the customer receives a confirmation identifying Tampa Bay Sliding Doors, describing the service-message program, stating that message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply, and explaining how to reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out.
